Empowering Voters. Defending Democracy
Serving the People of Boulder County, Colorado
Date: 4/24/2024
Subject: BE A VOTER OUTREACH HERO ON MAY 4TH!
From: Stacie Johnson

Dear Fellow Leaguers, Heroes, & SHEroes:

If you do not already know, the League of Women Voters of Boulder County relies heavily on volunteers to fulfill our mission of empowering voters and defending democracy. We have an urgent need for volunteers to greet visitors at our outreach booth that will be at the Longmont Cinco de Mayo celebration on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

What does greeting a visitor at the LWVBC outreach booth entail?
  • Asking community members what they know about the League of Women Voters and sharing information about what we do
  • Encouraging community members to register, verify, or update their voter registration, use VOTE411.org, and vote in the upcoming elections
  • Inviting visitors to take part in our “WHY I VOTE” outreach campaign
Two-hour volunteer slots are available throughout the day and we also need volunteers to help with the set-up and takedown of the outreach booth.

Volunteer sign up is available here

We greatly appreciate your help and talent in making our voter outreach and education a success. Volunteering at the Cinco de Mayo event is a great way to celebrate the Longmont Latino community and to get to know and appreciate many of our fellow Boulder County neighbors.

Sincerely,
Stacie Johnson, LWVBC Voter Service Director
