LWV of Boulder County Legacy Program

Since 1920, the League of Women Voters has been a powerful force for voter education and empowerment, and has supported the rights of all people to fully engage in the democratic process at local, state and national levels.
Donations from members and friends of LWV Boulder County (LWVBC) can ensure the League remains a trusted source for non-partisan information and principled advocacy, for generations to come.

Planned Giving Helps Plan for Our Future

As a dedicated League member, you already know the positive impact we’ve had on critical policy issues and threats to democracy.
Your gift to LWVBC will help build an endowment fund, providing financial resources to meet whatever challenges the future brings.
Whether the issue is voting rights, election processes, health care or education, you can trust League to stay strong and relevant to our community.

Choose the Planned Giving Option Best for You

Bequest

Bequests are the simplest and most common planned gift. The gift can be specified in a will, or as a percentage of a donor’s estate. LWVBC could be made a beneficiary of an IRA, other retirement savings fund, or life insurance policy. Bequests can be directed to an LWVBC endowment fund, a percentage of which will fund activities even as the fund grows over time. Or, a bequest could be used for a current need.

Major Gift

As a charitable organization, LWVBC can accept gifts of many kinds and any size to address program priorities or activities as they arise, or to ensure funding for ongoing operations. For example, in 2017 LWVBC successfully raised more than $30,000 to fund a new Administrative Assistant position, which propelled our capacity to serve Boulder County residents in new and exciting ways.

Whatever you choose, your gift will empower voters and defend democracy for years to come!
