Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel the network gathering scheduled for March 17th. Instead, we invite you to sign up here to get a petition mailed to you. Our goal is to ensure the safety of our volunteers and the public throughout the signature gathering process. If you wish to collect a petition so that you can gather signatures from friends and family and so that you are prepared when public events resume, here are a few options: Request petitions to be mailed and pledge to sign. Swing by Benedict Fountain Park on the corner of Grant and Tremont Pl. on March 17th from 3:00-5:00 to safely pick up petitions from Betsy and Abby.
In order to determine which of the two options above is best for you, use the recommendations set forth by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Based on their recommendations, we are asking you the following questions. Have you or someone in your household gone on a cruise or traveled to a country on the CDC’s Level 3 watch list in the last 30 days? At this time, these include China, Iran, Italy and South Korea. These may change. See the CDC’s guidelines for the most up-to-date list. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a fever, cough or shortness of breath. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, we ask you sign up to receive your petition in the mail, and make sure you don’t petition carry until you’re sure you’re not sick. If you have any questions, please email us at info@fairtaxcolordo.org. |
