Let's Get Out the Vote !

The League of Women Voters of Boulder County invites high school students to participate in our ART DESIGN CHALLENGE!!!

 

Our challenge to you is to design stickers, posters, or bumper stickers with variations on the general theme of “GET OUT THE VOTE” which will encourage people to participate in our democracy, both local and national, during the 2024 election season.

 

The artwork will be exhibited at various locations throughout the county. Finalists and semi-finalists will be featured in local media and will receive prizes. The stickers, posters, and bumper stickers will be shared with voters.

Who's Invited to Participate:

Students who attend high school in the St. Vrain Valley School District or Boulder Valley School District.

Students who attend private high schools or are home-schooled at the high-school level and who live in Boulder County. 

Rules

You may submit one design for each category:  stickers, bumper stickers, posters. 

All artwork must conform to the League's mission to remain nonpartisan.  The League does not support or oppose candidates or parties. 

We will not consider works that promote violence, gangs, drug use, or obscenity. 

Submit original artwork only.  Do not include photographs or trademarked images. 

Artwork for the Art Design Challenge must incorporate the League of Women Voters logo which will be provided. 

Consult the Sample Copyright Agreement.   Winners of each category will be asked to sign an agreement.

Design Requirements

Templates and other specifications are available at StickerGiant.com

Finished Sizes : 
     Bumper stickers:  10 x 2.5 inches
     Circle or Square Stickers or Buttons:  2 inches
     Oval Stickers or Buttons:  2 x 1.5 inches
     Posters:  11 x 17 inches or 18 x 24 inches


Designs should include the LWV logo.   Either of the two logos below may be used.

Deadlines

Submission Opens:  1 November 2023
Submission Closes:  29 February 2024
Announce Winners: 15 March 2024

Winning Entries

Winning artwork will express the message:  Voting is important.   We want to use these sticker, bumper stickers, and posters as get out the vote accessories. 

Entries will be shared with the community.  They will be displayed in various locations in the county. 

We will sign a copyright agreement with the artists of the winning entries.  Click to read the Sample Copyright Agreement.

Prizes will be awarded to finalists and semi-finalists.   Details are being defined.
