The LWV has two missions: Education and Advocacy
La LWV tiene dos misiones: educación y defensa de causas.
We support or oppose a proposal only if we have a position on its underlying issues.
To reach a position, members have studied the issue in depth and found areas of member consensus or agreement.
LWV members reconsider these positions annually.
If we have no position that applies to a particular proposal, we take a "neutral" stance.
Solo apoyamos o nos oponemos a una propuesta si tenemos una postura definida sobre las cuestiones subyacentes.
Para adoptar dicha postura, los miembros han estudiado el tema a fondo e identificado áreas de consenso o acuerdo entre ellos.
Los miembros de la LWV revisan estas posturas anualmente.
Si no existe una postura aplicable a una propuesta concreta, adoptamos una posición neutral.
