About this event

Our main speaker is Mandy Nuku, Executive Director of Feeding Colorado, and former Operations Director for LWVBC.

She will update us on the status of various food programs in Colorado and Boulder County after federal legislation and other federal changes. In addition, Colorado will have 2 ballot measures in November related to Healthy Meals for All in schools.

What can we all do to support the impacted programs?

The event is free, but we will be asking for a small donation to help cover costs. In addition, we hope everyone will support our host by buying a beverage. Finger foods will be provided by LWVBC.

Doors open 5:30--time to purchase a beverage and grab your food. Speaker and dialogue from 6-7. Continue to socialize until 7:30.

Junkyard Social Club is a non-profit venue for curious and creative play.  It's an ever-evolving, climbable discovery museum and event space where communities come together to unwind, to celebrate, and to hatch big plans. It's so much fun, you've gotta sign a waiver (required by their insurance). Please do it ahead of time to avoid a bottleneck. If you've done it in the past, you don't need to do it again.
