Climate change is a serious threat facing our nation and our planet. Come hear from representatives of Citizens’ Climate Lobby, an international nonpartisan organization that is working to pass the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (H.R.763). This bill is the most aggressive greenhouse reduction legislation to come before the U.S. Congress in over a decade. The concept behind the bill, carbon fee and dividend, has been part of the climate policy discussion for some time. CCL has been advocating for this kind of policy for ten years because it’s effective, good for people, good for the economy, and revenue neutral.

Presenters:

Susan Secord retired from teaching in the BVSD school system to devote herself to working on climate solutions. In 2013 she co-founded the Boulder chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby and has since served on its steering committee. She also served as Colorado CCL state co-coordinator from 2015-2018 during which time CCL grew to have fourteen chapters statewide, with chapters in every congressional district.

Grace Herbison holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver. Her past work as an advocate and public servant primarily focused on disability issues. Last year, Grace became a mother and joined Citizens’ Climate Lobby in order to focus her efforts on taking action to combat climate change.
