Focus of the Natural Resources Committee

While the Natural Resources Committee is not active at this time, we have supported the protection and wise management of natural resources in the public interest, in order to promote an environment beneficial to life. In addition to composing the reports below, we attended sessions on the South Boulder Creek Flood Study, and have given presentations on water and flood management issues.

Our Reports:

Will Success Spoil Boulder County?
Completed in 1999, this report gives an overview of growth management and regional planning that still goes on today.

Any League member interested in natural resource issues may contact the LWVBC President if you want to re-activate the Committee for the purpose of study, observation of public meetings, or engaging in a particular project or event (you don't have to be an expert, as you learn in the process of study and involvement in the topic).
